My VirtualBox (Host:Linux, Guest:WinXP) works flawlessly via WiFi card. I use an Atheros based chipset card with madwifi (not ath5k!) (Atheros AR2414 chip found (MAC 7.9, PHY 2112A 4.5, Radio 5.6)) and of course if you use MAC filtering on your WiFI router you have to put your virtual machine's MAC in the allow list on your router. I tried several routers and encountered no problems with all of them. I tried different encryption modes - No encryption, WEP-40, WEP-128 and WPA1 - no problems at all. -- Yours Faithfully, Oleg Osovitskiy Deputy head of the software department, KGPA Ltd.
