I am experience a problem trying to install VirtualBox Extension Pak on
openSUSE 12.2.
I have tried version virtualbox-4.1.22-1.6.1.x86_64 from SUSE repo wit
Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-4.1.22-80657
and
The Version from oracle download page
VirtualBox-4.2-4.2.4_81684_openSUSE114-1.x86_64 with
Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-4.2.4-81684
In both cases they download, checksums match, but when they are chicked on
they open with Arch instead of being executable. I think its a permissions
problem but I am not sure. Version 4.2.4 downloaded with the owner
username:user and 644 permisions. I thing they should be root:root not sure of
permissions.
Virtalbox itself starts and will load XP as guest but will not handle the
usb2. I have loaded and installed various versions of Virtualbox on opensuse
11.4 thru 12.1 with no problems.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
