Good morning all - least it is morning here! I have recently bought a Garmin GPS & have been trying to download the V1.11 Austrian Topo maps to the device.
I load Map Source in Windows XP (running as a Virtual Machine under Fedora 17), make sure the whole of Austria is loaded, then select all map rectangles, rename my map set, then try to "send to device", it ticks along for several minutes, then says "successfully downloaded" (or something similar!), I close the Map source, safely detach the Garmin & the 8G card, disconnect the GPS, switch it on & try setup.... No new map(s). I've reconnected the device to XP & opened it with Windows Explorer & there appears to be nothing on the device that relates to the map transfer except one 13K file (the complete map file is 170Mb). Does anyone haave an idea what might be going wrong?????
