Technically it will run VirtualBox, but only barely. One Windows XP VM with limited apps is maximum this can handle. (maybe one Windows 7 or Windows 10 VM if you're buying the higher-end model) It is so limited that you won't be able to make a good use of VirtualBox. To get any kind of good VirtualBox experience and lots of VMs, you will need *much* stronger hardware.
