After
1. modprobe vboxnetflt
2. modprobe vboxnetadp
on the host, I started VB.
Started the Knoppix VM
Mounted the additions iso on /additions (which I mkdir'ed first).
As root I executed /additions/VBoxLinuxAdditions.run
No errors. The file /var/log/VBoxGuestAdditions.log is empty.
Only network I created in the guest is the NAT network,
which now works.
only 2 issues remaining:
1. The clipboard is not working in either direction (configured to be
idirectional)
2. The mini drop down menu is no loger being displayed
no matter where on the edges I move the pointer.
