A. You should be aware that if you put the guest(s) on the same network as the host, you will run into weird problems if the guest(s) have the same mac as the host. If you really want to do this, the best way I can think of is to extract the host's mac from the ifconfig/ipconfig output (you don't say what OS the host runs), and feed it into vboxmanage something like: vboxmanage modifyvm vmname --macaddress<x> mac where x is the number of the guest interface you want to set the mac for, and where mac is the new mac address. If the host runs gnu/linux or some other unix, this should be doable by using grep and cut on the output from ifconfig, and feeding that into vboxmanage as I described above.
