I thought the problem was solved when I successfully installed version
5.0.22 but after the upgrade to 5.0.24 the problem is back. I would
appreciate if someone who understands a little better would look into it.
I've done a lot of studying around this a I've got hunch that what I need
is a total and thorough uninstall especially cleaning of the register from
former installations of GuestAdditions.

If I read the logs correctly it has to do with the left over folders in the
c:/windows/system32/driverstore/..........inf files
I've tried every possible way to remove these folders but I can't. I've
googled the problem but it doesn't get me anywhere.
