Fred, VBox 5.1.14. VM setup Core Audio & ICH97. In Guest I’m using “Intel Integrated Audio”. Did the procedure below and on #4 the hardware test says it does not detect any sound input. Line input doesn’t seem to work any more either. It did back in an earlier version of VBox, but I haven’t tested it for about 6 months or so. Wanted to run Audacity so cranked up the VM, but no go on sound input, sound output is fine.
When I can get somewhere to download the test version I’ll give it a go. Probably will be a week or so.
