Thanks. The documentation is not very helpful. I was trying to set the optical drive to the additions from the settings menu when the VM was not running. So I fired up the VM and went to Insert Guest Add... and was informed that I needed to create an empty optical disk, which meant closing down again to be able to do that. Can someone do something about the documentation of this stuff?
