Julian,

Which version of VBox are you using? Any of the 5.1 versions up through 5.1.4 
will not see the microphone, at least with WinXP and I suspect all Windoz 
versions. I had to go back to 5.0.26 to get it to work. Even then I had to go 
to the Sound Config in OSx and set the Mic as the input device. The mixer 
sliders in XP wouldn’t control it either. Don’t know about Win10.
