Yes, ubuntu.  2.6.17, pretty recent.

Are you suggesting this is a normal behaviour for the VM?  I would
have thought an idle guest would mean an idle VM.   Windows XP
as a guest does not have the problem -- is it a problem with Win2K
guests?
