I have my Windows XP vm up and running on a headless system. On the
LAN my rdp session to the host machine (gentoo) works great and have
no issues.

However when I'm at work and ssh to the host and then tunnel the rdp
session through, I get dropped a lot. I thought this is maybe an
issue with the tunnel, so I punched 3389 through my fw to the host
directly, but get the same issues.

It seems to drop more often if it is having to build the screen that
has lots of 'noise' on it. (multiple windows, or windows with lots of
content). If I'm just sitting at the desktop not doing much it will
keep the session up via both methods.

I've tried 28.8k modem settings to no avail. I've even dropped color
down to 256 and that somewhat helped but made it really hard to read
some things.

I've searched the forums, but didn't find much. So thought I would
try here to see if anyone may have some insights as to a fix.

Thanks
Chris
