Hi all, I have a question that is really simple in nature. I know I'm
gonna kick myself square in the butt when I find out the answer, because
I know I'm probably missing something really obvious. I'm trying to get
my physical DVD-RW drive to be detected in my win-xp guest. After all
the updates this weekend, my Ubuntu 7.04 system has been upgraded to
the .21 kernel, and Virtualbox 1.5. I changed the DVD drive, so that I
could update my guest additions, but now I want to change the -dvd
option so that it points to my dvd-rw. The command I entered was
VBoxManage modifyvm -dvd host:/dev/scd0. I've also tried /dev/cdrom0,
and even without the /dev. If someone can please let me know what I'm
doing wrong, let me know ASAP. I do have a DVD in the drive, and I can
see it through the file browser in Gnome. Thanks in advance for the
help, and excellent job for 1.5.

Thanks,

Guy
