Hello Michael, I typically have my .xinitrc file as follows
vboxadd-xclient exec wmaker I commented the vboxadd-xclient line and fired up startx. Once the window manager was up, I started a xterm client and from within the xclient I issued vboxadd-xclient with results: Unable to connect to the host system. Failed to connect to the host system. I looked at the vboxadd-install.log under /var/log and it looks fine. Also, dmesg does have any complaints. The clipboard is not shared between host and guest therefore it is awkward to copy and paste, but I can save results to files and transfer to the host and e-mail to you if needed. Is there a xorg.conf for a vbox-1.6 linux guest somewhere I can look at? There are warnings and other messages (even EE, I believe) in the Xorg.0.log file. Should I post the contents of this file?
