I do not know, if many versions of the same package are allowed in the
same repository. But why not?

As Dave said it is in yast, and should be in yum.

Other thing is: As it is that easy to create a repo, why not create one
for 2.0.x and one for 2.1.x? If the rpm files are already on the server,
there should not be too much extra space needed...
