Yesterday I had to work without network connection but required to access my host files from the guest system. It simply didn't work, no matter it was configurated as NAT, host-only, etc. Is there some way to connect Host/Guest locally without a physical network connection to a LAN? for example while working outdoors... I unloaded wi-fi driver/device because the unavailable network to avoid interferences and just left the ethernet available without connection... my local services (http, ssh, etc) work but VBox is not able to access the host... Host: Linux Slackware 12.1 Guest: WinXP Thanks for any help
