[3.0.4] - Problems with Linux Guests on Windows Hosts...
Hi,
I've mentioned this before...
I have VirtualBox 3.0.4 on Windows XP, Vista, and 7 hosts.
I have tried several Linux distro guests, including: ubuntu, openSUSE,
and Linux Mint.
Everything is fine, until I install 3.0.4 Linux Guest Additions.
When I install 3.0.4 Linux Guest Additions onto ubuntu, openSUSE, and
Linux Mint guests,
and enable "Normal" or "Extra" Visual Effects, two issues occur:
(1) Menus and windows do not completely disappear when closed.
(2) Mouse cursor position is not correct - its off by at least 20 pixels
in both X and Y axises.
These issues were not in VirtualBox 2.2.4 or Linux Guest Additions 2.2.4.
Again, this happens in ALL Linux distro guests on Windows hosts using
Linux Guest Additions...
I am hoping this can be researched and fixed in the next release of
VirtualBox.
