Contacting the blogger isn't as easy as it might be - his blog won't let
me register to post comments and he didn't respond to my e-mail.  Anyone
else feel like trying?

It looks like usbfs is getting mounted over sysfs, and I can't for the
life of me think how we could be doing that.  It would help though if we
could find some way of reproducing this or at least get into contact
with someone who sees this issue.
