I'm running the following configurationHost OS: Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.1 > Guest OS: Windows XP SP3VirtualBox version: 3.0.10I see that the host OS runs between 40 and 50% CPU utilization while the guest OS is completely idle (0-5% utilization). I've tried several suggestions I found online, such as disabling audio for the VM, disabling ACPI (couldn't start the VM), disabling USB and shared folders. Nothing helps.I wonder if this is a bug. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,Karim > > _______________________________________________ > vbox-users mailing list > vbox-us...@... > http://vbox.innotek.de/mailman/listinfo/vbox-users >
Update: I used a technique described in another post to the mailing list in September. I created a dummy VM with no OS and no hard disk, and this brought down the CPU utilization on the host from 40-50% down to 20-25%. Does anyone have an explanation for this, or a way to fix it? _______________________________________________ vbox-users mailing list [email protected] http://vbox.innotek.de/mailman/listinfo/vbox-users
