Hia ll,

i am very new to virtualbox and to debian, so please be kind:

When i call "ls -l" on "/cdrom" at my debian i get "total 0", but why is
the cdrom empty?

What i did before:
1) I created a virtual machine for "Linux" / "debian".
2) I added the netinst CD of debian as cdrom to the virtual machine.
3) I booted the virtual machine from that cdrom an installed debian
4) I removed the netinst CD from vm and added the VBoxGuestAdditions.iso
to the vm and reboot the vm.
5) after login i run "cd cdrom" and then "ls -l"

Why do i get "total 0"?

My host is a windows xp prof.
Hi,
Try (as root) :

mount -o exec /cdrom
