Try compiling courier-imap with something like this. It works for me. ./configure --without-authpwd --without-authshadow --without-authpam --without-authuserdb --without-authcram --without-authldap --without-authmysql --without-authpgsql --without-authcustom --without-authdaemon --disable-root-check --with-redhat
