Hi,

As you may have noticed, I've moved some articles around the Wiki.
Specifically, I've moved case studies and "community" type articles (e.g.
article list) from the web site to the Wiki and reorganized the front page a
bit. I've a little more to do and then I'll focus on the main site.

My question is - what's the purpose of each site? There's some overlapping
content between the Wiki and the web site. Personally, I see the web site as
the main info site and the Wiki as a place for community-developed content
(both user and developer). Do others agree?

I'd like to suggest we assume most people are going to visit the regular web
page first and turn to the Wiki for more info. In that case, we remove the
first three introductory sections and just leave a note "The best place to get
started is the Velocity Home page". (Turbine does this). This would make
simplify the page and make stuff easier to find.

Incidentally, if you look at a couple of other Apache wiki's ( e.g.
http://wiki.apache.org/jakarta-turbine/, http://wiki.apache.org/jakarta-tomcat/
) the front page of the Wiki is basic.

Any thoughts?

WILL
