*Job Description: *
I. Summary

*The CM Engineer is a member of an Agile team responsible for the
requirements, design, construction, integration, and maintenance of
software products. This role requires a proactive approach toward ownership
of the configuration management process, as well as following best
practices to meet both short and longer term goals.*
II. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Agile Process

*·         Prepares for and participates in sprint grooming and understands
what is planned*

*·         Keeps project tracking software current with task/story status
and time spent*

* Configuration Management Tasks*

*·         Works with dev team to be sure all code is in properly branched
and merged*

*·         Communicates with QA to facilitate testing in the appropriate
environments*

*·         Partners with ops team to make sure release deployment is
successful*

* Configuration Management Administration Tasks*

*·         Proactively seeks enhancements to support Continuous Delivery
goals*

*·         Enhances branching/merging/release procedures*

*·         Finds ways to make the projects/solutions and code repository
strategy more efficient*

*·         Documents current process and ensures documents are updates as
process changes*

* Mentoring*

*·         Proactively seeks feedback from dev and ops teams*

*·         Communicates CM process changes to team*

*·         Teaches team best CM best practices*

*·         Contributes to positive learning environment*

IV. Qualifications Education/Experience

*·         Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work
experience with > 5 years’ SDLC experience required. *

*·         Continuous Delivery experience is a plus, especially how to
manage CM for multiple applications, each with their own
development/testing/release cycles*


Technical Knowledge

*·         TFS administration, TFS build and deployments, IIS (including
settings and configuration), how .NET configuration files affect web and
thick-client applications*

*·         Would be helpful to understand .NET database projects*

*·         .NET development background is a plus*
