On our HP-UX machines running Oracle the MINCACHE setting is set to DIRECT and we have not seen any performance issues w/ NetBackup. I wouldn't be too concerned about it.

What if any impact would this have on Netbackup backing up flat files from that FS ? This is a HPUX 11i-23 server and in the past Veritas has recommended keeping this setting at DSYNC for backup performance but this is many years ago.
