Even though you may be using VSP or nothing at all, VSS is still used to capture the Shadow Copy Components and I have seen backups fail due to VSS issues. The error only occurs when performing full backups. Note that this client is a media server that backs itself up. I have tried all the recommendations as per the detailed troubleshooting for error 13 technote from Symantec, any suggestions?
