I have one particular VM that for whatever reason does not like to be
backed up via SAN transport method. NBD backups work fine. The message in
the detailed status for a SAN backup is:

06/11/2012 21:16:20 - Error bpbrm (pid=9560) from client XXXXXX: ERR -
Error opening the snapshot disks using given transport mode: Status 23.
06/11/2012 21:16:21 - Info bpbkar32 (pid=6584) bpbkar waited 0 times for
empty buffer, delayed 0 times.
06/11/2012 21:16:33 - Error bpbrm (pid=9560) could not send server status
message
06/11/2012 21:16:33 - Critical bpbrm (pid=9560) unexpected termination of
client XXXXXX
06/11/2012 21:16:33 - Error bpbrm (pid=9560) cannot send mail to
someonewhoca...@company.com
06/11/2012 21:16:33 - Info bpbkar32 (pid=0) done. status: 6: the backup
failed to back up the requested files
06/11/2012 21:16:33 - end writing; write time: 0:00:19
the backup failed to back up the requested files (6)

While I know that this can be caused by an improperly zoned/configured
datastore at the media server, I'm able to backup other VM's via SAN that
reside on the same datastore. I've attempted this backup on three different
media servers to see if there was some cache file causing issues, but I get
the same result. Could anything else be causing this error message?
