6. With NetBackup 7.x, all Unix/Linux 32-bit support has been discontinued. From: veritas-bu-boun...@mailman.eng.auburn.edu [mailto:veritas-bu-boun...@mailman.eng.auburn.edu] On Behalf Of Howard Graylin Sent: Wednesday, January 22, 2014 3:09 PM To: veritas-bu@mailman.eng.auburn.edu Subject: [Veritas-bu] IBM Netezza Does anyone use an IBM Netezza device and back it up with Netbackup 7.x? IBM is insisting that Symantec supports/ships a 32-bit Linux client for the 7.x version of Netbackup and no amount of me saying "No, you're wrong" will sway them. I even put in a ticket with Symantec who said, "We don't offer a NetBackup 7.x client for 32 bit Linux operating systems, but the NetBackup 6.5.x client does support the 32 bit version of RedHat 3.0 to 6.0." Still, IBM insists that there's a 32-bit client available for 7.x. Today they said that when I untar the 64-bit client, there'll be 32-bit items in there. I don't want to use the 6.x client because it's no longer supported. Any help would be appreciated. I'm running out of ways to say, "No, they don't".
