There were some issues in the emf export that I've fixed (not closing paths 
when they are not closed and correctly telling Qt the attributes of the 
paint engine).

Can you try this test version?

It's possible this will fix your problem, but there look to be quite a lot 
of differences between the different programs which render EMF files. The 
Veusz output EMF files definitely aren't compatible with 
OpenOffice/LibreOffice.

Transparency also isn't allowed in EMF files, so use the hide option 
instead.
