Jerry's post was spot on and I wish I was capable of curbing you all with the same eloquence. In regards to your question pertaining to prayer requests, I personally don't consider it a big problem. If you feel the need of solace from your fellow listers regarding a loved one in need, by all means post a note to the list. Maybe refrain from captioning the post as "prayers needed", but instead use a bit more subtle subject. And please, everyone, try to respond to such requests off-list. Personally, the only folks that I discuss matters regarding religion and politics are my Mom and my very few closest friends. They may argue with me, but they will remain my Mom and my close friends. It is certainly much more appropriate for this list to be arguing about the exact shade of olive needed to tie the perfect BWO Wally- wing Spinner. The only reason I have been dragged out of hibernation is due to the personal emails I received regarding the current political/religious debacle, demanding the expulsion from the list of this one for saying that and that one for saying this. I actually have far too many hats to wear at this time to don another, so you guys figure it all out. And by all means feel free to direct all of your opinions to me....
