Don,
Two years ago I had prostrate Surgery and had to go quite often. I got one if
those leg bags with the appropriate connections and just had no worries except
for the day I took a water pill when I had not planned on fishing. Needless to
say, the bag was overfilled. Did not do that again.

My day is just ruirnt! LOL, Can't say I been there...not geographically at
least, but have been state-side (without the thong part). Park and camping
area facilities can be really bad. And then some, like the ones at Miracle Mile
here, are spotless and odor-free.

On the other hand, my 50cal. S&W allows me to 'go in the woods' where the bears
and cougars go.

This is sorta fishing related (without some of the 'gory' details), as a bad
case of the trots can spoil a fishing trip. I try to prepare myself for
'non-standard nature-calls operations' by drinking only bottled fluids and
taking Pepto before I start the journey and during. Before Baja, most of the
group takes a perscription medicine for Montezuma's revenge. Having a problem
while out on a panga is not the best of memories to bring home. I have been
spared it, but have had friends whose vacations were ruined by it. So it is a
valid topic- might as well lose your gear- fishing is over.

As we men get older, our need to go gets more often, and when our need happens
in chest-waders out in the middle of a crowded stream, do we want to leave just
to go, and give up our spot? I try not to drink much before a wading trip. But
I wonder if taking a salt pill would help, since salts causes the body to
retain water. Anyone know?
