Had my wife fishing on the N. Fork of the Flathead.
She had waded out a ways, and looked back at me and asked "How far can I wade
out?"
I answered "Only halfway". She asked "Why?"

I said "Then you're walking out to the other side."

My wife says she has better things to do than fo out and wait for a
fish to bite.

Reading Chuck's comments about his wife fishing with him in the rain
reminded me that I have been trying to get my wife to fish without any luck.
She did a couple of years ago start to play golf which was a miracle. She
really likes it and can outhit some of my friends which they are none to
pleased about.

But fishing - well, she says, "you take too long to get ready. You
have to put the pole together, get on the waders and vest, boots and then tie
on the fly. It takes to long." Well, good enough. But when did a wife ever
just run out of the door to go shopping or to have lunch with friends. They
take a long time to get ready and you better not try to hurry them. Why then
when it is time to fish do we all of a sudden have to "hurry" to the water. I
am smart enough not to make a big deal about it. But since my day is a little
out of kilter I thought I would vent. Thanks

          Mike
