Swedneck was derived from a badly sunburned neck on a young Swedish
lad (Niclas Runarsson)who had been dubbed a redneck shortly after
being introduced to A&W Root Beer while attending the Sowbug.
Swedish Redneck devolved into Swedneck. And it stuck!
And the neck eventually healed up, I think.
