I wrap an underbody with Peacock Herl before attaching the bean with a filed
groove, Have not caught any Carp on it but it has caught a lot of Gills. The
original was tied with Rubber legs.

This fly was recommended by a carp specialist.  Take a triangle file and cut a
long groove for the hook and 'X' groves for rubber legs.  Just enough epoxy to
hold the hook and legs.  Don't epoxy the back.  Small/Taste Supposedly lures
carp in.  Never tried it myself.
