For years I have used "Brushing Lacquer" thinned down and squeezed from one of those 
little plastic bottles with the long tube. A needle with a big plastic ball is at the 
top to retard the drying.
Recently I have tried the Loon's water based head cement and really like it a lot. The 
only thing I do not like about it is that it doesn't dry fast enough and it doesn't 
seep into the thread windings fast enough. I have to use the rotary function on my 
Renzetti to keep it soaking in and not dripping or running. Yuck!!!
