I use nail varnish (on the flies only ) thinned down with acetone. Because 
the acetone is volatile, the varnish thickens up over time (especially if 
you forget to screw the lid back on quickly). This meams every couple of 
months I add a few more drops of acetone..


(Yeah and you get funny looks from the shop assisten when you ask for the 
varnish...  don't bother trying to explain it just makes it worse :-)
