As a fly fisher and having been in fly fishing
sales on a retail and wholesale basis. I feel Sage rods are over priced, I have
fished with many other brands that for quality and action, in my opinion will
out do Sage.
No matter what company it is, as long as you have a
great marketing program as Sage does, this is what sells the
product.
Personally being in the industry from 1969 to the
present, I prefer the St. Croix Legend over the other brands.
Money does not catch fish. If the angler has the
knowledge, he/she will succeed.
Take Care,
Brad

I am writing a term paper for a
college class on consumer behavior and I need all of your help. I have
chosen Sage Fly Rods as the topic and I was wondering if ya'll might be
able to give me an opinion. All I want to know is what words come to
mind when you think of a Sage Fly Rod (for example...If you were doing
this with a BMW, you might use the terms "quality," or "expensive")? If
you would be kind enough to e-mail me off-list with a few words before
late Monday night (5/13/02), I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, you
are all great!
Thanks, Bryan
