Well we didn't make it to Madison until Saturday. Jared is improving daily. He has been moved from the TLC to an intermediate area. They found he has some nerve damage in his left hip which keeps him from moving that leg. But the medical people believe that can be taken care of with lots of physical therapy. He's probably going to be in treatment/rehab for about a year for all his problems.
Details of the accident are sketchy and third hand. (After the trachea tube is removed, Jared may supply his version) This is what I've heard so far: Jared (19) was riding a friend's motorcycle and was passing a pickup truck driven by another young man. A witness says that the truck sped up and bumped the cycle as Jared was cutting back in front. He lost control and left the road at speed. Thanks again to all of you. Gary P.S. I put an extra 'r' in Jared earlier, but I have an excuse. One of my son-in-laws spells his with two.
