You will love that rod I'm thinking.  Try muddler minnows, tiny poppers, any hair bug you usually use will most likely do just fine with this rod. I fish trout with mine and have used a lot of size 6 wooly buggers and even weighted squirrel nymphs. It is a lot of rod for the money. Joyce
