[VFB] goose wing

Hi All,
A buddy of mine just shot some geese and gave me the entire wing from one of them. He didnt clean it or anything, the meat is still there. What is the best way I can get the feathers? I dont need all of them, mainly the big ones. Should I just pluck(not that the word is getting overused or anything) the ones I want and dry them out/salt them? Thanks for any help. Anyone need some goose feathers? Or know of patterns that use goose feathers?
