Use the large primary feathers for the Grey Goose nymph. It's like a PTN, except that you use goose wing and gold wire. Use the soft barbs from the lower end of the feather. They are grey/olive. Officially the pattern calls for an English barnyard goose, but the one you have will work just as well. A great pattern to fish!

Hi All,
A buddy of mine just shot some geese and gave me the entire wing from one of them. He didnt clean it or anything, the meat is still there. What is the best way I can get the feathers? I dont need all of them, mainly the big ones. Should I just pluck(not that the word is getting overused or anything) the ones I want and dry them out/salt them? Thanks for any help. Anyone need some goose feathers? Or know of patterns that use goose feathers?
