Eddie, The geberic answer is that it depends on what you want the purchase to achieve for you. If all the tying will be on two (perhaps three) adjecent hook sizes a suitable saddle would be the best option. If you want to tie flies on hooks covering a wider range of sizes, a saddle will not be able to do that and your choice should be a suitable neck. Best of success with the purchase. Hans
