I hear you on American Angler..They used to put out "Warmwater Flyfishing" which i subscribed to. Then they claimed it wasn't doing that well......so they said they were doing away with it & that they'd finish off my subscribe with American Anlger. i should have had them refund my money... they stated that when they were going to do away with Warmwater Flyfishing, they'd make up for it by having more Warmwater articles in American Angler... Well they certianly didn't seem to increase the warmwater arena at all...sure they have/had someone writing a warmwater column...but they always had that... I recieved 2 copies of American Angler to round out my subscription.. & sent back the renewal notice with a detailed letter stating that I was disappointed with American Angler not living up to the hype they dished out when doing away with Warmwater Angler... Never recieved a response, but they continued to send renewal notices...probally never even read my letter... I can't understand why they folded "Warmwater Flyfishing"...unless it was like Frank Amato Publications combining Fly Fishing & Fly Tying magazines...easier to put out one Magazine then publish several... I guess.
Oh by the by, I do not even bother thumbing thru Rod & Reel magazine. the former & current Editors are bastards who will do anything to get a photo of a big fish in their Rag...including fishing for Salmon on their Redds...... the Hell with their publication!!!!
