I have never seen it that cold here but I have a double stone chimney with a grill on the garage side. I little handy work with my mig welder and I have an insert that slide in and turns that grill into a smoker. The garage is heated so I keep it a balmy 40F, get a couple of beef briskets and my favorite beverage and think of the homeland. ;0).
My Yankee neighbors and friends are the happy benefactors of some BODACiOUS (SP?) BBQ ala Texas.

Yesterday, here on Prince Edward Island it was a balmy -19C (-2.2F) with
a wind chill of -37C (-35F)
We had a barbeque last night after a couple of hours shovelling the
driveway.
