Yesterday, it was -43C at my house just South of Edmonton.  And that wasn't
measuring in the wind-chill. Toss that in and it was around -65C to -70C.

Up here -10C is a heat wave.

Because its easy to make ice for playing hockey!  Why do you think the Oilers are such a successful hockey club -- if you can play in those conditions, playing in Florida, California or Arizona is like a vacation.
