We used to take a rubber band and attach it to each side of the spool and
then take a wooden stick match and put it in the hole , pull back on the
rubber band and let it fly.
If you did it just right , it would glance off the side walk and light. then
streak towards your target. Usually another guy shooting at you.
Or did you want a more constructive use for the empty spools?
