I'd join the swap...John Martinez introduced me to these flies last year, and I have not had trouble tying them w/o a gallows or neck breaker, just gotta know what to pull. I have yet to fish them yet, but in the test tank(literally, a tank, no fancy 10 acre pond with 10+ pound largemouths) they look pretty sweet. They sit low in the water but float for a long while, even if you dont use Whiting Platinum Hackles. Believe me, I tied some paraloop flies with horrendous dry fly hackle's, and they still floated. I would love to be in the swap.

The article is great, and if you dont get Fly Tyer, go pick a copy up.

In the latest issue of Fly Tyer, Ian writes about the paraloop style.

I tried it for the first time. Since I don't have a gallows pole or the
want to make one, I simply rotated my Traveler so the fly is upside down.
Using the Quad Turbo dubbing twister with hackle plier attachment, I use
this to hold the floss with the help from gravity down. This worked
surprisingly well.

I really enjoy tying these flies...You can now really make some neat dubbing
combinations...

Has anyone tried it with CDC? Does it work well?

How do Paraloops fish? This is what I want to know. Looking at the fly, I
don't know why I would use a traditional dry fly anymore.

I would very much like to hear from other paraloopers. Has there been a
paraloop swap yet?

I will host if there is interest.

15 swappers Due date May 31st.
