How often and under what circumstances do you guys throw away and replace your lines? What indicators or performance problems do you encounter that makes you decide that it is time for a particular line to go?
How long can you expect a seldom used line stored on an extra spool to last?
I've noticed that some of my older lines have tiny cracks in the line coatings, but they still cast just fine. I have noticed that floating lines with this condition don't float as well.
What are your observations? Inquiring minds want to know.
