I only tie beadheads from #16 - #10, I use round bend 2xl down eyes... I use the following guide #16 (2 - 2.5mm) #14 (3 - 3.5mm) #12 (3.5 -4.5 mm) #10 (4 - 5 mm )
Here are the specs that I got for my local fly shop: Hook size: 18 and smaller= bead size: 3/32 (2.5mm) Hook size: 10-16 = bead size: 1/8 (3mm) Hook size: 4-8 = bead size: 5/32(3.5mm) Hook size: 2-4 = bead size: 3/16 (4.5 mm)
