Try www.fortackle.com They have a lot of closeout flylines for under $10. I bought some for the same purpose you're seeking them and have been pleased with them.

I'm finally going to get around to building some shooting heads this winter. I read the Martin Joergensen article at the Global Flyfisher site someone on the list had suggested and it was very informative.I can't being myself to go and spend $ 50 + on a new line and cut it to pieces. Which brings me to the point.... does anyony have a source for cheap flylines. They can be off brands, seconds, blems..... whatever. I've been checking e-bay for a while and havent found anything useful listed so far, I need an eleven wt. intermediate or fast sink to start. Any help is appreciated.ThanksJohn B.
