You might contact L.L.Bean and see if they have any cheapo lines for sale, on sale. They did when we were there in Sept. mark

Hello List

I'm finally going to get around to building some shooting heads this winter. I read the Martin Joergensen article at the Global Flyfisher site someone on the list had suggested and it was very informative.
I can't being myself to go and spend $ 50 + on a new line and cut it to pieces. Which brings me to the point.... does anyony have a source for cheap flylines. They can be off brands, seconds, blems..... whatever. I've been checking e-bay for a while and havent found anything useful listed so far, I need an eleven wt. intermediate or fast sink to start. Any help is appreciated.

Cortland used to make an el-cheapo called "Fairplay", if I remember right. You might check a Cortland dealer. Also, I think WallyWorld, Meijer, etc., used to carry some no-name fly lines.
